Building SM'S DEX
An interactive portfolio inspired by nine game generations. Visitors can submit a public roster entry through GitHub for review.
Why this interface
The device format gives each generation a distinct way to explore the same portfolio. The readable view keeps the content accessible when the device presentation is inconvenient.
Device controls
Visitors can switch generations, open or close the device, turn its screen off, and choose a readable view. Sound starts off. Reduced-motion preferences are respected.
Public roster
The Add Pokémon form opens a prefilled GitHub issue. A workflow validates the submission and creates a pull request for review before the entry joins the roster.
Tradeoffs
Animated devices take more effort to navigate than a plain document. The site therefore includes an HTML resume and direct links to project evidence.
